Classes are held Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday.
Rose Marie Floyd leads a faculty
which includes
Theresa Butkovich, Carolyn Stevens and Anne Daugherty.
Students range in age from 4 years old to adult. Classes often vary in ability.
The schedule follows the school year with classes beginning in
September and running through June.

The Stars of Ballet and Broadway Performance at the Detroit Music Hall on April 20, 2007 and April 21, 2007 was amazing! The tribute to Rose Marie was very touching. Five of our own studio dancers participated by dancing an entirely new piece by choreographer Ron de Jesus. See photos from the After Party on the 21st.

Rose Marie Floyd, Director and Choreographer of the Contemporary Civic Ballet Company, founded her non-profit company in 1956 to provide dancers the experience of performing in a company and to further the cultural development of the community.  Rose Marie was recently awarded a 2005 Dance Teacher of the Year Award from Dance Teacher Magazine in the Private Studio and Conservatory category.

Rose Marie Floyd and Eva Powers created a video documentary about Enrico Cecchetti called “Ballet: The Tradition of Cecchetti,” which is available for purchase.
