Terry ButkovichTheresa Butkovich

Ms. Butkovich began her training with Rose Marie Floyd at age 4 and studied with her for 14 years. She continued her study of dance in England and New York City with renowned teachers from the Joffrey Ballet, American Ballet Theatre, Royal Ballet School. As a student she was awarded numerous scholarships for demonstrating outstanding talent and was invited by Kirsten Ralov and Fredbjorn Bjornsson to attend the Royal Danish Ballet School. She has performed many prinicpal roles and danced with the Boston Ballet and the Contemporary Civic Ballet Company. Theresa holds the Maestro Cecchetti Diploma, the highest teaching certificate in the Cecchetti Method and is on the Board of Examiners. She is currently the Director of the Rose Marie Floyd Studio of Dance/TMB Ballet and the Artistic Director of the Contemporary Civic Ballet Company.

Anne Daugherty

Anne began training with Mary Ellen Cooper (Cecchetti Method) at age 6 and studied ballet and modern dance in the Lansing area for nine years, with Cecchetti and non-Cecchetti teachers. She began studying with Rose Marie Floyd over 20 years ago, and is a member of the Contemporary Civic Ballet Co. She has successfully passed Cecchetti grades 1-6 (Intermediate) as a student and grades 1-2 as a teacher. As member of the Michigan State University Dance Ensemble while in college; she performed and taught creative movement at Lansing-area elementary schools as part of a corps of six college dancers. Anne performed throughout mid-Michigan with the Lansing Ballet Company for five years. She taught in the Lansing area for three years and taught locally with Warren’s Recreation Dance program for seven years. Anne began teaching children’s classes at the Rose Marie Floyd Studio of Dance in 2006.

Amy Ureel MS, PA-C

Amy has been associated with the Rose Marie Floyd Studio of Dance as a student, performer, teacher, and rehearsal assistant for over 40 years. She has passed the Cecchetti grades 1-7 (Advanced) as a student and grades 1&2 as a teacher. She has also extensively studied the Cecchetti Diploma syllabus with Rose Marie Floyd, Margaret Marsh, and Diane Von Schoor. As a member of the Contemporary Civic Ballet Co. for over 20 years, she has performed the roles of Sugar Plum Fairy, Snow Queen, Lilac Fairy, Odette & Odile, and Myrta. She has also performed soloist roles in Les Sylphides, Sleeping Beauty, Coppelia, Nutcracker, Graduation Ball and Pas de Quatre.

Darren PiersonDarren Pierson

Darren Pierson received his dance training at Point Counter Point, Ann Parsley's School of Dance, and Detroit's Freedom Dance Academy. Darren's professional career started with VEE Entertainment Corporation touring the U.S. and Europe as Grover in Sesame Street Live. After a three year run Darren came back to Metropolitan Detroit where he began choreographing and directing musicals for community theaters as well as high schools. Still eager for more knowledge, Darren expanded into ballroom dancing and began teaching 25 styles of Ballroom Dance at Arthur Murray Royal Oak. His accomplishments include performances on stage as Mark Anthony in A Chorus Line at The Masonic Temple and in television; PBS Ballroom mini series, Film -Mario, and Music Video's -Let's Mambo- with Sean Forbes and Marlee Matlin. Darren performed in the local opening entertainment for Dancing with the Stars tour at Joe Louis Arena.
